A NOTE FROM PRINCIPAL

Dear School Community,

It is hard to believe that we are at the end of Term 1. I am very happy with the overall efforts of the whole school. We are leaving active and fruitful weeks behind with lots of learning and fun. We celebrated Harmony Day in Kids Town last week and it was great that our students were exposed to different cultures, watched great shows and participated in many purposeful activities. Taking this opportunity, I would like to thank the students and their teacher, Mrs Gurtirath Singh, for their excellent performance.

Parent Teacher Interviews were held this week and I hope you had a chance to discuss with the teachers about your child’s progress. If you missed it, please call the school and make another appointment with homeroom/subject teachers.

I would like to share a few items with you as I believe they are extremely important for the development of your child.

• Reflect on Term 1 and set goals for Term 2
• Read for 15 minutes with your child daily before bed
• Discuss with your child about the importance of hard work and let them realise that the process is as equally important as the result
• Emphasize the importance of personal hygiene and cleanliness in general
• Consume healthy food and do regular exercises

During the two-week holiday and beyond, Shepparton Art Museum (SAM) offers a variety of activities for families. Just a portion of the list of the activities is attached below. I wish you all a very relaxing holiday and I am looking forward to seeing you on the first day of Term 2, Tuesday, April 18.
